When should I begin with the internship

Soonest at the end of the 4th semester. The internship takes 2 months full time or alternatively 4 months half a day. Therefore the lecture-free time between summer and winter semester, in the middle of July to in the middle of October, is recommendable.

Every student can get in contact independently with suitable companies. Alternatively you can find a internshipe with the help of the office for internships.

What is to be considered before beginning of the internship and conclusion of a contract with the internship giver?

In order to guarantee that setting of tasks and employers correspond to the requirements of an industrial internship for bachelor of computer science, a previous consultation with the faculty-assigned is recommended (Prof. Reischuk at the moment).

How should a practical course report be written?

Each internship report should deal with the following things:

1. Description of the internship place (company, department, business field, size of the organization....)
2. Setting of tasks during the internship (overview)
3. Detailed description of the activities (chronologically by the week)
4. Field report (what did I learn about the industrial environment, what was positive – what negative, result of my work, social aspects like teamwork, assistance from supervisors, ...)

How do I receive my achievement certificate?

The internship report is to be submitted to the chairman of the audit committee (at present Professor Reischuk) within 6 months. If the trainee activity and the report fulfills the requirements, you receive an achievement certificate.
